Therapy for Adults

This is not what you pictured your life would be.

You're constantly tired, overwhelmed and sleep has not been your friend lately. You find yourself overthinking all your decisions and worrying if and how you can get everything accomplished in a day. Most days you give your all and it never feels good enough. Other days, you're lucky to get a shower. Most people in your life come to you for advice and rarely offer a listening ear to you. If they do offer to listen, it is only to offer unsolicited advice that leaves you feeling totally misunderstood and invalidated.

Could therapy be right for you?

You are feeling so disconnected from life and those around you. You told yourself you didn't want to be this anxious, people pleasing person. It's affecting the important relationships in your life and interfering with your responsibilities. Our clients just want to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Many of our clients worry that those feelings are out of reach.

Many of our clients experiencing these disconnects within themselves and in relationships are struggling to find a good balance. Therapy may be for you if:

  • You lay in bed at night overthinking past experiences, conversations and/or what ifs
  • You feel a nagging feeling of not being enough
  • Your relationships are taking a hit
  • You often feel misunderstood
  • You feel stretched too thin

What would therapy even look like?

Our goal for clients is to help you work through the things holding you back from being the person you want to be! At your initial intake session you will meet with your therapist to get a sense of what your needs are and where we can help. You will complete a few forms before we meet so that the initial session we can dig into your history. The initial session usually lasts around an hour and we will spend that time getting to know each other.

After the initial session, we will meet weekly and begin to taper off as symptoms decrease. You will work with your therapist to develop treatment goals so that you are working on the things that are the most important to you!

You may feel vulnerable in the beginning, but your therapist will move at your pace and you will be in the driver seat every step of the way. Your therapist may challenge you, but not in a bad way! We will help you find the right tools to be a happier and more whole human.

"Life, at its best, is a flowing, changing process in which nothing is fixed...it is always in a process of becoming."

-Carl Rogers
